South Sydney Rabbitohs

South Sydney RabbitohsAs one of the two remaining foundation clubs in Australian Rugby League, and with 20 Premierships under their belt, the South Sydney Rabbitohs are the most successful club in Australian Rugby League history. Recent times however have seen the Rabbitohs venture near the bottom of the NRL ladder with an exception being in 2007 when South Sydney made its first finals appearance since 1989. Souths have added star Greg Inglis, Dave Taylor and Sam Burgess in recent times as they attempt to once again become a force

Canberra Raiders

Canberra Raiders1982 signalled the arrival of the Canberra Raiders who were responsible for unearthing some of Australian Rugby League’s greatest ever players. With a team containing Mal Meninga, Laurie Daley, Bradley Clyde and the Walter brothers, the Raiders achieved back to back Premierships in 1989 and 1990, before succumbing to the Panthers in 1991. Since then, times have been difficult for the Raiders with injuries and player exodus often plaguing the club’s Premiership aspirations, but the club appear to the once again rebuilding upon a foundation of local talent, such as Josh Dugan and Josh McCrone.
